The curriculum workshop of the Department of Economics and Development Studies (IESP) was held from 5 to 7 July 2022. The event was divided into 3 series of events, namely Curriculum Workshop, Formulation of Curriculum Workshop Results and Outreach of Curriculum Workshop Results. The event was held at the Integrated Laboratory and Building F, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Unsoed. The first day of the Curriculum Workshop was attended by IESP students, the formulation team, and also stakeholders such as (Untirta, Untidar, Unwiku, UIN Saizu, Bappedalitbang, OJK, Aspikmas, with Mr. Bhimo Rizky Samudro, S.E., M.Sc., Ph. D and Dr. Agus Arifin, S.E., M.Sc as resource persons.On the second day was attended by the drafting team, and on the third day attended by the formulation team and IESP Lecturers.
The purpose of holding this Curriculum Workshop is to re-arrange the curriculum, due to the existence of new programs from the government, one of which is an off-campus student program such as the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM), so there is a need for compaction of compulsory courses only held for 5 semesters. first. “Then design the required courses and those that are not, because elective courses may not be taken when students join the MBKM Program, and student scores will be converted,” said Dr. Barokatuminalloh, S.E., M.Sc, in a direct statement, (06/07/2022)
Dr. Barokatuminalloh, S.E., M.Sc as the Coordinator of the Development Economics Study Program, said that the first day of activities was to accept the opinions and aspirations of the workshop participants, which was then formulated by the formulation team based on the results of the first day workshop, then on the third day socialization of the results of the formulation to IESP FEB Unsoed Lecturers was carried out. Then the results of the socialization on the third day, will be submitted to the Senate for approval of a decision which the results of the curriculum change decision will be implemented in 2023.
It is hoped that after the Curriculum Workshop is held, it will provide benefits to produce a good and appropriate decision for the continuity of learning activities in the Economics and Development Studies study program at Jenderal Sudirman University.
